Purchasing/Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing and accounting departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in administration or accounting, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Handle purchase orders (POs), invoices, and vendor communication efficiently.
  • Perform basic accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Utilize strong Microsoft and computer skills to support daily operations.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with precision and organization.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal salespeople and purchasing personnel.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in administration or accounting.
  • Proficiency in handling purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communication.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Strong Microsoft/computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing.
  • Skills in bookkeeping, data entry, invoicing, reconciliation, and general ledger management.
  • Detail-oriented and not afraid to ask questions.
  • Ability to multitask and switch gears as needed.
  • Experience with Macola is a plus but not required.
Work Environment

The Purchasing/Accounting Assistant will work closely with the purchasing and accounting departments and will be stationed at the front desk, acting as the first point of contact for visitors. The role involves collaboration with internal salespeople and purchasing personnel, fostering intellectual conversations in a professional setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
