Senior Accounting Consultant

About the Role

As a Staff Accountant at Plante Moran, you will support financial accounting projects, complete monthly close processes, and prepare cost reports for senior care and living clients.

• Assist in preparing financial accounting projects, including annual budgets, account reconciliations, board reporting, and monthly financial analyses.
• Complete the monthly financial statement close process, including account reconciliations, reconciling sub‑ledgers, posting journal entries, and communicating with clients.
• Perform data collection and analysis for senior care and living projects using benchmark data and client financial information.
• Prepare Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for skilled nursing facilities, home health, and hospice organizations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred but not required).
• 3+ years of full charge staff accountant experience, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and workpaper preparation.
• 3+ years of experience with computerized accounting systems (e.g., general ledger to financial statement).
• Experience with Point Click Care  or Sage Intacct preferred;
  Yardi, Peachtree, or Creative Solutions a plus.
• Fixed assets and depreciation experience.
• Experience with FX and/or FAS preferred.
• Payroll experience, including preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax filings.
• Occasional travel across the eastern and central time zones (approximately 5% overnight travel).

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $85,000.00 - $.

Travel:
Approximately 5% overnight travel across the eastern and central time zones.
