Position Summary
Senior Accountant responsible for preparing monthly financial analysis and reporting, maintaining books and records for multiple entities, and supporting budgeting and forecasting. The role assists with external audits and various projects.
Responsibilities- Prepare accounting entries to registers, journals and logs for all assigned entities.
- Assist the accounting analyst in recording daily cash receipts and managing cash in bank accounts across several entities.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements with supporting detail for all assigned entities.
- Prepare monthly external financial statement package for reporting purposes.
- Follow company’s established accounting processes.
- Identify, communicate and develop process improvements.
- Analyze financial data and research accounting issues to ensure accuracy.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Assist with corporate forecasting and budgeting.
- Assist with miscellaneous projects or tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience; construction industry billing a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Sage 300 software a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
Salary range around $92,000, depending on experience.
