What will you be doing?

SIU is seeking candidates to fill a Forensic Audit Manager (FAM) vacancy. The FAM is responsible for implementing forensic audit plans within the geographic region to which they are assigned. The position also requires management of Forensic Auditors. Forensic Audits are conducted on public entities that have committed fraud with tax payer dollars. This includes, but is not limited to obtaining an understanding of client internal controls and financial procedures, implementing AOS approach for performing forensic audits, executing fraud detection techniques, preparing audit summaries, and preparing audit comments and findings.

Location:

The SIU is currently seeking to fill one vacancy throughout the East Territory of Ohio. Case assignments will mostly be in the following counties:
Holmes, Coshocton, Stark, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Harrison, Columbiana, Jefferson, Wayne, Knox, Mahoning, Belmont, Ashland and Richland.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3 or more years experience in external audit environment
  • Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license.
  • Experience with governmental financial accounting, reporting, and auditing is desirable and experience in fraud examination is a plus
  • Professional Certification as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Fraud Examiner is a plus

The result of these allegations may result in execution of an investigative audit by the AOS Special Investigations Unit (SIU). A forensic audit is performed by forensic auditors and law enforcement officials for the purpose of pursuing and prosecuting fraud and corruption where it exists in Ohio's government entities.
