A Quality Facility Services (AQFS) is looking for a Controller / Accounting Manager to take ownership of our day‑to‑day accounting operations and play an important role in the continued growth of the company.

This is a hands‑on position. You will be involved in the accounting function while also helping improve processes, strengthen financial reporting, and support the continued growth of the company.

The position offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

You’ll take ownership of the company’s day‑to‑day accounting operations.

This is a hands‑on position where you will both perform and oversee core accounting functions.

• Manage and perform accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts
• Prepare general ledger entries and month‑end adjustments
• Assist with payroll processing and accuracy checks
• Support monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations
• Assist with audit preparation and financial documentation
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records
• Support accounting and finance projects
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
• Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial information
• Take ownership of day‑to‑day accounting operations and processes

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience taking ownership of day‑to‑day accounting operations
• Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar experience preferred
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team
• Willingness and ability to remain hands‑on with day‑to‑day accounting responsibilities
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
• Experience in public accounting or a CPA firm is a plus, but not required
