The Cost Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Cleveland, OH. This role is responsible for analyzing production and project costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to support pricing decisions and profitability targets. Day-to-day activities include preparing cost estimates for new and existing products, monitoring variances between standard and actual costs, and assisting in budget development and cost forecasts. The Cost Analyst will collaborate with finance, engineering, and operations teams to provide cost reports, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role also includes maintaining cost databases, ensuring data accuracy in ERP or accounting systems, and preparing clear, actionable analyses for management.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess Cost Accounting and Cost Management skills to track product costs, analyze variances, and maintain accurate cost records.
  • Candidates should possess Cost Control skills to support budgeting, monitor spending, and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Candidates should possess Finance skills to understand financial statements, margin analysis, and the impact of costs on profitability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and ERP or accounting software; advanced Excel skills are beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to cross-functional teams.
