The OpportunityOur client is a growing organization seeking a Division Controller who is ready to take the next step in their accounting and finance career and make a meaningful impact.
This is an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming finance leader with strong cost accounting and analytical experience who wants more than a traditional Controller role. The Division Controller will have the opportunity to strengthen and build cost-accounting processes, develop a team, partner closely with operations and leadership, and play an important role in the implementation of SAP
.
This is a hands-on, highly visible position where the right individual can help shape the financial infrastructure of a growing business and position themselves for continued career growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead accounting and financial activities for the division, including month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
- Develop and strengthen cost-accounting processes, systems, and controls
. - Analyze product and operational costs and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Provide financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and recommendations to business and executive leadership.
- Partner with Operations, Sales, and other business leaders to drive informed financial decisions.
- Support the Annual Operating Plan, forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance management.
- Oversee inventory controls and key performance metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting/finance team.
- Help improve and implement scalable accounting processes as the organization continues to grow.
- Play a key role in the SAP implementation
, helping ensure effective integration of accounting and cost-accounting processes. - Maintain strong internal controls and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience.
- Strong cost accounting and financial analysis experience.
- Experience in accounting, FP&A, plant/divisional controlling, or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and operational data and turn it into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience leading or developing an accounting/finance team.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- ERP experience required;
SAP S/4
HANA experience is a plus
. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or other professional designation is a plus.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
