Our client is a well-established and fast-growing public accounting and advisory firm with a strong presence across the Midwest and Northeast. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Tax Senior Associate to join their Business Tax Services team, working directly with closely held businesses and private equity portfolio companies. PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns for closely held businesses and private equity portfolio companies (C corporations, S corporations, and partnerships)
- Research complex and evolving tax issues and provide clear guidance on how they affect client operations and investments
- Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency and support process improvements across client engagements
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, communicating technical tax matters in clear, actionable terms
- Build strong client and internal relationships that support long-term engagements
- Mentor and support staff-level team members, contributing to a collaborative, learning-focused team culture
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA license or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
- Experience preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for closely held businesses and/or private equity portfolio companies
- Strong understanding of C corporation, S corporation, and partnership tax structures
- Proficiency with Excel and tax software, with comfort adopting new technology tools
- Experience with individual (1040) tax compliance
- Exposure to multi-state tax planning and compliance
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff

- Estimated base salary range of $70,000-$120,000, based on experience, qualifications, and location
