Overview
Progressive Quality Care is seeking a Staffing Coordinator. In this essential role, you’ll help ensure the nursing department runs smoothly by managing schedules, supporting staff, and maintaining compliance with staffing standards. If you enjoy organizing, problem-solving, and working in a team-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-starter with initiative
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Basic computer proficiency
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Prior staffing experience is a plus
- Schedule nursing staff to meet State, Federal, and company guidelines
- Adjust staffing based on PPD to ensure budget compliance
- Post monthly schedules via Smartlinx by the 20th of each month
- Accept call-offs and arrange replacements as needed
- Prepare daily staffing assignment sheets and participate in staffing meetings
- Track STNA attendance points and monitor weekly hours to minimize overtime
- Maintain accurate schedules and manage shift swaps and census-based staffing
- Coordinate training schedules and onboarding for newly hired STNAs
- Assist the Director of Nursing in identifying and resolving retention issues
- Communicate professionally across departments and maintain confidentiality
- Serve on committees and perform other duties as requested
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Use of hands and arms for typing and paperwork
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or documents
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to handle interpersonal conflicts professionally
