The Director, Industry Services, Urology, is part of Specialty Networks, a Cardinal Health company. Specialty Networks creates clinical and economic value for independent specialty providers and partners across multiple specialty GPOs. Specialty Networks’ PPS Analytics platform analyzes data from electronic medical records (EMR), practice management, imaging, and dispensing systems and transforms it into meaningful and actionable insights for providers and other stakeholders by using artificial intelligence and modern data analytics capabilities.
The Director, Industry Services, Urology is the primary Specialty Networks point of contact for an industry customer’s commercial and executive teams. They are responsible for establishing a pharma/device partner’s strategic approach to the Urology market and leveraging capabilities and offerings. They leverage their market expertise, disease state knowledge, industry experience and relationships to create win-win partnerships. Their product mix can include conference display/sponsor ships for various customer segments, podium presentations, focus group/ad boards, consulting services, insights projects, data, surveys, in-practice programs and digital/non-personal promotions.
This role interacts with industry leadership to gain alignment of strategic approach, brand & national accounts directors to secure budget spend and industry member facing teams to execute programming. This is an individual contributor role that leads internal cross-functional teams to strategically bring department experts into industry conversations: contracting, data/RWE, member development and leadership.
Responsibilities- Business Development – engage, navigate and close for services across industry functional teams (Marketing, Market Access, Sales/Sales Ops, Business Insights, Medical). Present to and persuade existing and prospective clients in order to achieve department sales goals, while maintaining long‑term customer satisfaction and retention.
- Accountable for resource allocation and budget management.
- Industry Leadership Alignment – access and influence industry leadership to align on specialty market approach by leveraging SNS capabilities
- Internal Cross‑Functional Management – lead internal SNS teams to deliver compelling partnership rationale, program execution and client satisfaction
- Program Production & Execution – identify, create and evolve service offerings that meet the needs of industry partners and drive value to member practices.
- Design program content in collaboration with national disease state thought leaders.
- Client Satisfaction – establish a high level of communication across industry functions and leadership to track performance, satisfaction and new strategic opportunities. Host regular status calls and quarterly business reviews.
- Previous experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical device market (> 10 years preferred, >5 years in role‑specific disease state/specialty preferred)
- Experience/knowledge of healthcare industry functional departments
- Expertise in the Urology/Uro‑Oncology marketplace and relevant disease states (>3 years preferred)
- Strong interpersonal communication, writing and presentation skills
- Ability to lead teams and drive initiatives to timely and successful completion
- Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment, motivating clients and team members to deliver shared goals
- Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment
- Utilizes broad and deep knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies and procedures
- Contributes to the development of department strategy
- Works on or may lead highly complex projects of large scope
