Senior Associate Project Manager

Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to support legal project execution within a structured project management environment in Remotely. This Long-term Contract position centers on coordinating legal initiatives, guiding project activities from kickoff through closeout, and helping teams navigate operational change with strong communication and organization. The role is best suited for someone who can manage multiple priorities, track progress against timelines and budgets, and work closely with legal, business, and cross-functional partners to keep deliverables moving forward.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate legal project activities across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout to keep work aligned with approved objectives, timelines, and quality expectations.

- Prepare and maintain core project documentation, including schedules, status updates, resource plans, budgets, metrics, and other delivery artifacts needed for effective oversight.

- Partner with legal and business stakeholders to define project scope, clarify requirements, assign responsibilities, and support decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

- Drive organizational change efforts for legal initiatives by contributing to impact assessments, communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, training support, and adoption tracking.

- Monitor progress, identify risks or roadblocks early, and escalate issues when needed to protect deadlines, quality standards, and business outcomes.

- Work with cross-functional teams such as finance, human resources, training, procurement, vendors, and other project resources to support successful implementation.

- Use qualitative insights and performance data to evaluate project challenges, recommend adjustments, and improve delivery effectiveness.

- Support formal change control activities by documenting scope updates, assessing impacts, and helping teams manage approved modifications responsibly.

- Participate in post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned, communicate findings, and strengthen future legal project delivery practices.

Requirements

- Experience supporting project delivery in a legal, compliance, corporate, or similarly regulated business environment.

- Demonstrated knowledge of project management methods, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, progress tracking, and project closeout.

- Familiarity with change management practices such as stakeholder communication, training coordination, impact analysis, and adoption measurement.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across legal teams and business partners.

- Ability to organize competing priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and follow established processes with minimal supervision.

- Proficiency in analyzing project data, preparing metric-based reports, and identifying risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

- Collaborative approach with experience supporting cross-functional coordination involving areas such as finance, HR, vendors, or operations.

PMP Certification is required.
