Managing Director – Organizational Change Management (OCM) & Transformation Communications
Position SummaryThe Director of Organizational Change Management (OCM) & Transformation Communications will lead the people side of enterprise-wide CIO transformation initiatives. This leader will be responsible for driving executive alignment, organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and adoption across multiple transformation work streams including AI, Data & Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud, ERP modernization, Digital Workplace, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture.
Working as a key member of the CIO Transformation Management Office (TMO), this individual will partner closely with business executives, technology leaders, HR, Corporate Communications, and program teams to ensure transformation initiatives achieve sustained business outcomes through effective communication, change leadership, and workforce engagement.
Key Responsibilities Organizational Change Leadership- Develop and execute the enterprise OCM strategy supporting the CIO transformation portfolio.
- Build organizational readiness plans for large-scale technology and operating model changes.
- Identify organizational impacts, risks, resistance points, and mitigation strategies.
- Drive adoption and behavioral change across business and technology organizations.
- Develop change success metrics and executive reporting.
- Own the transformation communication strategy for the CIO organization.
- Develop executive presentations, town halls, board updates, newsletters, and leadership messaging.
- Create compelling transformation narratives tailored to executives, managers, technical teams, and business users.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all transformation programs.
- Build strong relationships with executive sponsors and business leaders.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and influence strategies.
- Facilitate executive workshops and leadership alignment sessions.
- Manage communication plans across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Design enterprise engagement campaigns supporting transformation initiatives.
- Lead change champion and ambassador networks.
- Develop training awareness and adoption campaigns.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the OCM lead within the CIO Transformation Management Office.
- Establish OCM standards, methodologies, templates, and playbooks.
- Monitor transformation health and organizational adoption metrics.
- Position the CIO organization as a trusted transformation partner.
- Create executive storytelling around transformation milestones and business value.
- Partner with Corporate Communications on enterprise-wide messaging.
- Celebrate transformation successes and recognize change champions.
- 18 plus years leading enterprise Organizational Change Management initiatives.
- Deep experience working directly with CIOs, CTOs, CDAOs, CISOs, and executive leadership.
- Expertise in change management frameworks (Prosci, Kotter, ADKAR, or equivalent).
- Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience leading communications for AI, Cloud, ERP, Data, or Cybersecurity transformations.
- Strong facilitation and executive presence.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and consulting partners.
- Consulting experience with Big Four or leading advisory firms.
- Experience establishing or operating within a Transformation Management Office (TMO).
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, product operating models, and technology modernization programs.
- Experience supporting enterprise AI adoption and digital workforce transformation.
- Enterprise adoption rates of transformation initiatives.
- Stakeholder satisfaction and executive engagement.
- Organizational readiness scores.
- Employee engagement with transformation communications.
- Reduction in change resistance and implementation delays.
- Successful delivery of executive communication milestones.
- Achievement of business adoption KPIs across the transformation portfolio.
