POSITION SUMMARY:

YMCA of Greater Cleveland has an immediate need for a Payment Registrar that will be responsible for a variety of tasks involving processing of childcare program registration and payments. The essential job functions include, but not limited to, processing youth program registration, childcare billing and payments, accounts receivable, resolving outstanding payment balances and administrative support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor on-line registration.
  • Enter all program registration information, including payment, and/or setting up auto payments.
  • Update all information in DAXKO pertaining to participants, such as email, address, phone numbers, etc.
  • Respond to inquiries or issues from parents, members, and staff.
  • Create and Distribute reports to appropriate staff as requested, as well as weekly financial updates.
  • Manage all third party pay activity, including reporting attendance/absences, receipting of payments and reporting of uncollected revenue.
  • Work with Program Directors to maintain 100% enrollment and maintain wait list.
  • Communicate in a timely manner to appropriate staff areas of concern.
  • Communicate to clients via fax, email phone in a clear and concise timely manner.
  • Help establish best practices for policy and procedures and document.
  • All other duties as directed or required for the overall success of the organization.

  • Ability to execute fiscal operations, have good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well with a team of people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions.
  • Sound administration and good record keeping and fiscal management.
  • Continued quality perception of the YMCA within the community.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Fast, accurate keyboarding and 10-Key skills essential
  • Skilled (Intermediate+) with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly and in an understandable manner.
  • Must also be able to effectively communicate with and observe program participants, members and YMCA Staff.
  • Ability to perform and complete multiple tasks or projects in a timely manner.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable in the use of basic office equipment:
    Copy, Fax, Email, Scanning, Phones.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the mission, cause of the YMCA, and uphold its values and ethics.
  • Willingness and ability to be a mandated reporter for any signs or suspicion of child abuse and neglect. All employees are required to follow the child abuse and neglect reporting process: completion of Suspected Child Abuse/Neglect reporting form, calling children protective services (696-Kids) and notifying your immediate supervisor, branch executive, risk management and human resources department (s).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or accounts payable/receivable preferred.

Previous Customer Service experience both on phone and face to face required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to perform a frequent amount of sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, bending.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy.
