Senior Construction Superintendent - Construction GC - Base Salary to 100k/year - Cleveland, OH

Our client has been involved in the construction of more than four million square feet of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential buildings over the past 40 years. Their various capacities include carpenter-tradesmen, superintendents, project managers, corporate officers, general contractors, and owner-developers.

The Senior Construction Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors daily while on the job site. The Senior Construction Superintendent shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work is being performed. Must be willing to travel out of state.

• Schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Perform pre-installation meetings for all contractor activities.
• Communicate with project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and Material Submittals.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and site subcontractors.
• Coordinate/communicate with local utility companies.
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
• Identify conflicts in the construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
• Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite, including daily photos of all activities.
• Prepare and present daily reports, maintaining clear and effective communication with all team members.
• Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.
• Walk projects daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
• Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
• Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean, safe and organized manner.
• Enforce and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely progress and addressing any delays or issues.

• 10+ years of experience as a commercial Site Superintendent.
• Experienced with commercial construction projects ranging from retail space, restaurants, medical office buildings, office fit-outs, and high-end renovations.
• Experience in the field reviewing schedules, budgets, contracts, and other documents with field personnel, clients/owners, and architects.
• Experience building your own schedules is highly preferred for this role.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and other construction CRM software).
• Experience with various software utilized for OFCC (Ohio Facilities Construction Commission).
• Traveling to California, Texas, IL, Michigan, Ohio, and other states as needed.
