We are seeking an experienced Construction Renovation Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day renovation operations in the multifamily sector. This role is responsible for coordinating projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality workmanship, schedule adherence, cost control, and strong communication between crews, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and comfortable splitting time between job sites and office-based planning, reporting, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities Field Operations- Oversee active renovation projects on-site to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and progress reviews
- Manage subcontractors and field crews, including scheduling, productivity, and performance
- Resolve on-site issues, change orders, and unexpected challenges efficiently
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Plan and schedule renovation projects, coordinating labor, materials, and subcontractors
- Review project budgets, track costs, and support profitability goals
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, reports, and records
- Coordinate permits, inspections, and approvals with local authorities
- Communicate project updates to ownership, clients, and internal teams
- Assist with estimating, bidding, and scope development for renovation projects
- Act as a liaison between field teams and office staff
- Help develop and improve operational processes, workflows, and best practices
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of field personnel as needed
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
- 10+ years of experience in construction or renovation management
- Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial renovation processes
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to job sites
- Degree or certification in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with estimating and cost control
