ODOT Prequalified Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspection of highway, roadway, bridge, and structural construction activities, confirming work conforms to approved plans, specifications, applicable standards, and is executed with a high level of quality throughout the duration of the project
• Support construction administration efforts, including review of submittals and coordination with the broader project team throughout construction.
• Evaluate materials and field execution in real time, identifying nonconformances early and communicating them promptly to the contractor and project team.
• Serve as a clear and professional point of contact between company, the client, and the general contractor, keeping all parties informed of field conditions and emerging issues.
• Prepare thorough daily field reports, photographic documentation, quantity tracking, and other project records required for the project file and applicable reporting obligations.

• Active ODOT Project Inspector prequalification at Level 1 and Level 2
• Associate’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience on Municipal infrastructure or roadway construction projects
• NICET Highway Construction Level II certification required
