The Project Estimator is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Cleveland, OH. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial interior projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and project scopes. Day‑to‑day tasks include analyzing labor, materials, and subcontractor costs; requesting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes; and developing project budgets and proposals. The Project Estimator will collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and suppliers to clarify requirements, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and maintain up‑to‑date pricing data.
The role also involves tracking changes, updating estimates as projects evolve, and supporting project planning and bid submissions to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
- Candidates should possess strong Cost Management and Budgeting skills to develop, monitor, and refine project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Candidates should possess Construction Estimating and Project Estimation skills to prepare accurate, detailed estimates based on drawings, specifications, and site information.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with project managers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors and to present estimates clearly.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in relevant estimating software, spreadsheets, and general computer skills to manage data and produce professional proposals.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret construction documents and specifications.
- Relevant experience in commercial interiors, construction, or a related field is preferred; an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related discipline is beneficial.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work on‑site full time in Cleveland, OH, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and uphold high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
