Preconstruction Specialist

Key Responsibilities- Lead all preconstruction activities for commercial mechanical construction projects
- Develop conceptual and detailed project budgets and cost estimates
- Prepare value engineering recommendations to maximize project value and efficiency
- Perform constructability reviews to identify project risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, project managers, and design teams throughout the preconstruction process
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for completeness and accuracy
- Participate in design development meetings and provide technical guidance
- Assist in developing project schedules, procurement strategies, and execution plans
- Support business development efforts by building strong client relationships and contributing to proposal presentations
- Coordinate the transition from preconstruction to operations upon project award
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial mechanical construction
- Experience in preconstruction, estimating, project management, engineering, or related mechanical construction roles
- Strong estimating experience on commercial mechanical construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams including architects, engineers, owners, and contractors
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Experience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, institutional, or mission-critical projects is highly preferred
- Base Salary: $110,000–$120,000
