Position: Former Intern Possinger Joins Chamber Staff In New Events Role

Friday, February 6, 2026.
Maggie Possinger The Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce announces the creation of a new position and the appointment of a familiar face to fill the role.

Maggie Possinger has been named the Chamber’s new events and programming coordinator, a position designed to further enhance the Chamber’s ability to "create meaningful, engaging experiences for members, residents and visitors across Cleveland and Bradley County."

Ms. Possinger is no stranger to the Chamber. She first joined the organization as a summer intern while completing her senior year at Lee University, where she majored in digital media studies with an emphasis in journalism. Originally from Clear Spring, Md., she transferred to Lee in the fall of 2022 and immersed herself in the campus and local community.

During her time at Lee, Ms. Possinger served as news editor for the Lee Clarion, the student-run newspaper, contributed to Vindagua, Lee’s lifestyle magazine, and edited the Burning Bush, a monthly publication for the Franklin Mennonite Mission Board in Chambersburg, Pa. The Chamber initially connected with her when she was assigned to cover the Hot Slaw & Art Y’all Festival for the Clarion, an introduction that showcased her talent for storytelling and her passion for community-focused journalism.

Now stepping into this newly established role, Ms. Possinger will serve as a frontline brand ambassador for the Chamber. She will assist in the planning and execution of Chamber events and programs, helping create fun and engaging opportunities for Chamber members, residents and visitors to experience all that Cleveland and Bradley County have to offer, officials said.

"We have watched Maggie grow from a talented intern into a capable professional with a deep appreciation for this community," said Mike Griffin, Chamber president & CEO. "Her creativity, attention to detail and heart for storytelling make her a perfect fit to help us elevate the experiences we offer through our events and programming."

"Maggie’s transition from intern to staff member is a testament to the Chamber’s commitment to investing in young professionals and connecting emerging talent to opportunities within the Cleveland community," officials said.
