The Department of Pediatric Allergy/Immunology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's is in search of an Allergist/Immunologist to help continue with our excellent patient care. Appointment at the level of Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or full Professor is available commensurate with experience.
This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals interested in providing both pediatric and adult allergy and immunology patient care in an engaging and collaborative environment. Our faculty participate in clinical care, research including clinical trials, and education of fellows, residents, and students. UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital was the first Midwest center to be designated as a Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center for Primary Immunodeficiencies and houses our dedicated Inborn Errors of Immunity Clinic.
The division is developing a new Food Allergy Center, and our faculty includes a food allergy psychologist and an excellent ancillary team dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of food allergies. Opportunities are also available for institutional start-up support to grow research careers for qualified candidates.
Academic appointment, rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and primary board certification. Compensation is highly competitive.

A Brief OverviewProvides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specified patient population.
What You Will Do- Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
- Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Trains and supervises medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.
- May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function.
