Position OverviewThe Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an additional faculty member for our Division of Gynecologic Oncology. We seek an individual with an interest in clinical practice, teaching, and research. A successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and teaching skills, will be Board Certified or a candidate for Certification in Gynecologic Oncology, and will be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio.
Academic rank within the Department of Reproductive Biology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Dedicated research time and support is available and will be consistent with the applicant’s research experience and interest. Salary is competitive.
Our Gynecologic Oncology service is longstanding and offers the full range of operative procedures, including minimally invasive surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Faculty is actively involved in the education of Metro Health’s obstetrics and gynecology residents and Case Western Reserve University medical students. Our residency program attracts highly competitive candidates, many of whom have gone on to obtain fellowships in Gynecologic Oncology.
ResearchOpportunities
Opportunities for basic and/or translational research and collaborations are available within Metro Health Cancer Center’s Cancer Biology program, our Population Health Research Institute, and the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. Our department has a long history of funded research, including participation in the Eunice Kennedy Shriver NICHD-MFMU and Nu Mo M2b -HSS2 Research Networks. The Gynecologic Oncology Division is active in the Gynecologic Oncology Group and industry-sponsored clinical trials.
Support for clinical and bench research is also offered through the Case Western Reserve University CTSA-Clinical Research Unit and the Center for Reproductive Health at Metro Health Medical Center.
