Job Summary:

Through a strong Christian worldview, supports & implements relevant programming for children Kindergarten through twelfth grade, including gospel-centered lessons, Bible-based character development, social emotional learning, and academic improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Essential Job Functions:

Builds Relationships

• Builds quality, caring relationships that supports, serves, and ministers with the youth and families in order to enhance overall effectiveness of Pathways programming and support an environment conducive to transformation.

Assists with Recreational Activities

• Assist in planning, organizing, leading, and supervising recreational/biblical activities.

• Prepare and assist or lead discussion topics and/or lesson plans for youth participants, geared towards growing in a relationship and understanding of God through the Bible.

• Develop teaching, training, and other classroom material while also utilizing creative media for classroom and instructional usage.

• Understand and enforces compliance to established procedures, policies, and safety standards.

Other Duties

• Assist in serving snacks and meals.

• Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating special events.

• Provides support in maintaining integrity of operating practices, recordkeeping, report writing and attendance systems and data control.

• Uses initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.

• Assist childcare staff with programming needs as the census dictates.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required. Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.

• 2 years experience in Evangelical Youth Ministry preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

• Meets requirements to be an approved driver of TCM vehicles is preferred.

• Limited time off over summer and school breaks to facilitate programming on non-school days.

• Flexibility required in order to be onsite for programming hours, available to drive/chaperone at special events, field trips, available during programming hours, evenings and weekends. Must be available when Cleveland schools are closed.

Essential Physical and Mental Functions:

• Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet).

• Climb stairs.

• Constantly bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.

• Lift, carry, or move 60 pounds.

• Constant use of both hands, fingers, and arms in reaching/handling/grasping.

• Lift both arms over the head, holding items overhead.

• Operates a computer as needed

• Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.

• Constant use of hearing (correctable hearing to normal level required) for day-to-day job functions
