Hours :
Monday-Friday, 2 - 4 hours per day, all year round

Teachers should be adaptable and comfortable in a 1-on-1 setting .

• Build strong rapport with both students and parents
• Prepare materials, facilitate lessons, and assess learning objectives
• Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, and supervisors
• Evaluate student progress and prepare reports to communicate growth and achievement, as well as areas for improvement.
• Create and keep records on attendance, accidents, incidents, and other noteworthy events in accordance with licensing guidelines and program policies
• Provide a safe and respectful environment for all students
• Employ professional judgment to adapt and modify curriculum as necessary to meet the needs and learning style of each student
• Willingness to loop from one grade level to the next to remain with student(s), provided the family agrees it is a good fit
• Deliver instruction in both in-person and virtual settings, as needed, using CHA-approved platforms and tools.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Teaching credential/certificate/license for corresponding age/grade level/subject area
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with families and students
• Experience developing and implementing curriculum
• Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, stoop, bend, and move throughout the room
