Job Title: Primary Teacher
Location: Cleveland
Salary: £120 – £160 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting dedicated and motivated Primary Teachers to work in schools across Cleveland.

This rewarding role involves delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to primary-aged students while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged, supported, and motivated to succeed.

Primary Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor, and track students’ academic progress
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage positive learning attitudes
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Prepare lesson resources and classroom materials
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff
Requirements of a Primary School Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, ECT/NQT, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant subject
  • Previous experience teaching within primary schools is desirable
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Passion for teaching and supporting young learners
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
