Swimming Instructor

Position

The Swim Instructor’s number one priority is teaching the aquatics program at British Swim School. The role involves talking to students and families about the program, demonstrating skills, communicating effectively, and holding yourself accountable. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach. Most students are preschool and elementary‑aged children; instructors should enjoy working with this age group.

• Follow the British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons.
• Establish and maintain relationships with students’ parents and/or guardians, as well as the team.
• Teach lessons with encouragement and positive reinforcement.

• 16 or older.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable in and around water.
• Willing to undergo a background check.

• Experience teaching children or adults.
• Swim experience.
• Have or willing to obtain Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification(s).
• Graduated high school or on track to graduate.

Monday/Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings at Tri C metro.

$14.00 – $16.00 per hour.
