Associates Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field preferred.
Educational Aide permit or Non‑tax certificate from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce required.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families required.

Job SummaryPlan, teach and evaluate student learning in a special education setting. Differentiate curriculum for all students. Help students learn to manage emotions and behavior within the classroom. Work closely with all members of the school team to deliver intervention, lessons and activities. Maintain caseload of up to 12 students. Provide services as indicated in students’ Individual Educational Plan. Maintain direct contact with students, parents/guardians, mental health professionals and home school district representatives.
Responsible for detailed student records in compliance with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce standards. The Intervention Specialist is supervised by the School Principal.
