Location: Garfield Heights City Schools

Job Description:

Garfield Heights City Schools is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to support our students, staff, and school community during the  school year. Volunteers play an important role in enhancing the educational experience by assisting with school activities, events, and programs across the district.

This is a volunteer position and not a district-employed role. Volunteers will contribute their time and skills in a variety of settings while maintaining professionalism and a commitment to the district's mission of serving every student with excellence, empathy, and Bulldog pride.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist school staff with general classroom or office tasks as needed
• Support district events, programs, and activities (academic, athletic, and community-based)
• Help foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for students
• Provide supervision support during field trips, assemblies, or school-wide functions
• Serve as a role model by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and integrity
• Collaborate with staff and administration to meet the needs of students and the district
• Perform other duties as requested by district personnel

Qualifications:

• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Garfield Heights City Schools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Dependability and willingness to work collaboratively with staff and students
• Flexibility to assist in a variety of school settings and activities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Completion of required volunteer forms and a satisfactory BCI/FBI background check

Additional Information:
This is a volunteer position. Volunteers are not considered employees of the district and are not eligible for wages, stipends, or district benefits.
