Parma City School District, in partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, is offering the Camp Invention program—a weeklong STEM enrichment experience for children in grades K‑6, running June 24–28, 2024. We are seeking local educators to inspire future innovators.

Camp Invention Directors and Instructors engage children through hands‑on, inquiry‑based activities, inventor stories, step‑by‑step instructions, guiding questions, and discussion prompts. Many educators report that the skills gained translate into classroom practice such as project‑based learning, divergent and convergent thinking, open‑ended instruction, and team‑building tips.

Responsibilities
  • Engage campers through hands‑on STEM activities, inventor stories, guided discussions, and project prompts.
  • Collaborate with the Camp Invention Director to lead daily activities, promote the program via flyers and social media, and spread the excitement of innovation within the community.
  • Serve as liaison between the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the district.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
  • Coordinate site logistics, student routines, and safety protocols.
  • Promote the program during the registration period.
  • Perform any other duties required for successful program implementation.

  • Flexible, creative, and enthusiastic.
  • Passionate about engaging children.
