ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 5-8th Grade Math Teacher at Lake Erie Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio.
Lake Erie Preparatory School is a public charter school serving K‑8 with a focus on college prep, foreign language, STEM, and CTE. The school has served the Collinwood community since 2012 and is part of the ACCEL Schools network.
About the Opportunity- Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify during the school year
- Differentiate instruction to meet student needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and development
- Utilize research‑based best practices in planning and instruction
- Manage student behavior in the classroom
- Create a positive learning environment
- Implement school‑approved curricula that reflect diverse backgrounds
- Explain and enforce school‑wide culture expectations and norms
- Communicate with families about academic and social‑emotional growth
- Incorporate technology skills into daily practice
- Participate in planning and implementation of non‑instructional activities, as needed
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Comfortable in a growth‑focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Ability to supervise students of various ages in different settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
- Pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience in an urban environment
- Salary range: $40,000 – $49,500
