DescriptionPosition Summary
The Graduate Student Testing Center Assistant supports the daily operations of the Testing Center by assisting with exam administration, student support, and faculty communication. In addition to standard proctoring responsibilities, this role serves as a point of contact for addressing testing-related questions and coordinating with faculty to ensure smooth exam delivery and compliance with accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and organizing exam materials, including assembling exam envelopes
- Monitor testing environments and camera systems to maintain academic integrity
- Provide timely updates and guidance to students during testing sessions
- Distribute completed exam materials to faculty or teaching assistants upon pickup
- Deliver exams to faculty approved for accommodations through the Office of Equity
- Assist with scribing and preparing exams as needed
Additional Graduate-Level Responsibilities
- Answer Testing Center phone calls and respond to general inquiries from students and faculty
- Communicate with faculty regarding exam-related questions or clarifications on testing instructions
- Assist in troubleshooting minor scheduling or exam-day issues and elevate concerns when appropriate
- Help ensure adherence to Testing Center policies and procedures through proactive communication
Salary Range
- $12.55-$14.25

- Reliable and dependable, with strong time management and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and appropriately elevate concerns when needed
- Ability to work independently while also contributing collaboratively as part of a team
- Comfortable managing front-facing responsibilities, including phone communication and faculty outreach
