Case Western Reserve University seeks a forward-thinking and collaborative individual for the Technology and Digital Strategies Librarian position.

The Kelvin Smith Library (KSL) of Case Western Reserve University seeks an enthusiastic, innovative, and collaborative individual to serve as the Technology & Digital Strategies Librarian (TDSL). Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Creation & Curation services, the TDSL coordinates library technology and digital strategies, including the catalog and discovery systems, storage, desktop support, and related infrastructure.

The TDSL serves as a library liaison to the University’s central IT department (UTech) to provide a single point of contact and oversees the work of two UTech personnel that support this position. The TDSL works with all CWRU libraries and affiliated libraries to ensure catalog and discovery system services as needed. The Kelvin Smith Library serves as the knowledge and creativity commons of CWRU, supporting all patrons with nearly three million titles. It houses the University Archives and Special Collections, the Kulas Music Collection, and the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship. KSL is a member of various research library consortia and was the recipient of the ACRL Excellence in Academic Libraries Award in 2019.

The initial rank of the Technology and Digital Strategies Librarian will be based on the qualifications of the individual, including professional knowledge, skills, service and scholarly endeavors, and alignment with university and library values.

Librarian 2: Master’s degree in Library Science or a related field, 1–3 years of relevant library experience (preferred).

Librarian 3: Master’s degree in Library Science or a related field, 3–6 years of relevant library experience (preferred).

Minimum salary for a Librarian 2: $57,200. Minimum salary for a Librarian 3: $65,780. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
