Program Manager

Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $19.00–$23.00 per hour based on education and experience.

Hours:

Monday–Friday 7:00 am–8:30 am and 3:00 pm–6:00 pm.

You will have a home base location with occasional assignment to schools within the district.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety and joy by modeling role‑model qualities, maintaining site documents, enforcing attendance protocols, and coaching staff.
  • Support safety protocols and report on safety compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with families, partners, peers, and children; respond promptly to inquiries during program hours, and collaborate with the Area Manager on program goals.
  • Maintain accurate records for student check‑ins and check‑outs, and complete “name to face” attendance procedures.
  • Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or a related field.
  • Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with adults and children.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to submit proof of MMR vaccination.
Requirements
  • Must meet all applicable Ohio licensing and employment requirements, including state‑specific age‑child care program standards and background checks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (in‑person) or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a completed JFS 01296 Medical Statement of Child Care Staff, including TB screening and immunization status, including MMR.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one of the following qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Two years of training verified by an official transcript, including four courses in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
  • Four college‑level courses in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
  • A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition.
  • A Pre‑Kindergarten Associate Certificate issued by the State Board of Education.
  • A Montessori Pre‑Primary/Early Childhood credential.
  • Career Pathways Level 3 credential.
  • CPL 2 with 2 years of experience working in licensed childcare.
  • CPL 1 with 2 years of experience in licensed childcare and ability to achieve CPL level 2 within 12 months of hire.
  • An Administrator Credential.
