Position Description Program Producer Organization The Cleveland Leadership Center (CLC) provides collaborative leadership training, civic education, and connections to leaders of all ages, empowering them to identify and take action on issues that resonate with them and positioning them to become change agents in the community. The core programs of CLC serve leaders at multiple ages and stages of life and include:
• Look Up To Cleveland: high school students
• Campus Cleveland: college students
• OnBoard Cleveland: early-career professionals
• Cleveland Bridge Builders: mid-career professionals
• Leadership Cleveland and LC2 Fellows: senior-level executives
• Civic Leadership Institute: adults of all ages
• Advanced Leadership Institute: established professionals
• Legacy Leaders: experienced leaders in or approaching retirement In addition, the organization offers custom-designed programs and delivers two large signature events each year. These offerings broaden awareness and understanding of social and economic issues and increase participants’ desire and capacity to address them. Position Summary CLC seeks a highly motivated, organized, and independent individual to serve as a Program Associate. Working in partnership with Program Directors, the Program Associate will assist with the planning, execution, and evaluation of the following CLC programs:
• Cleveland Bridge Builders
• OnBoard Cleveland
• Look Up to Cleveland This is a full-time, entry-level, at-will position within the organization. The successful candidate should have experience in program and/or event planning, as well as demonstrated skills in project management. The ideal candidate will excel at balancing multiple responsibilities, including but not limited to the ability to prioritize competing deadlines, create and follow project management plans, and managing events.
Key skills include problem solving, people management, collaboration, strong written and verbal communication, flexibility, enthusiasm, and an ability to thrive in a team-based and fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities The Program Associate is responsible for providing planning and logistical support for the three identified programs, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:
• Supporting three Program Directors as needed in the development of high-quality curriculum, content delivery and participant experience across all programs;
• Working with vendors to secure facilities, transportation and catering arrangements for program sessions, including serving as first-ling of communication regarding event logistics including room set-up, A/V needs, menu selection and more;
• Communicating with event participants, attendees and speakers, as directed, and assisting with development and distribution of program materials;
• Analyzing event supply needs and ensuring all supplies are available onsite;
• Proofreading and editing general program communications, class correspondence and other documents, as needed;
• Organizing mailings, related lists and materials;
• Printing participant handouts, nametags, signage and staff guides;
• Monitoring execution within budget parameters, including tracking of expenses;
• Providing marketing support for programs, with guidance from the Director of Marketing, including social media campaigns, developing presentations, and other electronic forms of communication; and
• Together with other members of Team CLC, supporting other CLC events as needed. Position Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Demonstrated, successful experience working with constituents from a broad array of private, public and government sectors representing significant diversity of background, experience, leadership roles and more.
• Flexibility, innovation, and ability to work effectively in an evolving organizational context.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Fluency with Microsoft Office suite , Excel, Adobe Suite, and database management.
• Ability to transport program supply items to session day locations, lift and set up supplies, and stand for extended periods of time.
