Admissions Navigator
The Admissions Navigator's primary responsibility is to participate in the planning, coordination and implementation of admissions activities designed to convert applicants to enrolled students. This role will provide direct and proactive outreach to students to provide a personalized experience, including developing a financial plan, placement options, basic orientation to the college and overall, connecting students with resources, such as referral to Counselor, preparing them for registration and perform the necessary data tracking to ensure the success of enrollment management initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Provides proactive outreach to students regarding various aspects of the enrollment and onboarding process, including, but not limited to, academic program information, placement information, financial planning, and career/transfer resources.
- Conducts individual and/or group navigation sessions to assess students' needs to convert admitted student to enrolled students.
- Tracks student interactions and enrollment steps using the College's customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Provides prompt responses to students on chat, phone, two-way texting platforms, email, etc., to support onboarding and conversion of prospective students.
- Conducts workshops, seminars, and presentations for admitted students and parents to educate them about the Tri-C admissions process.
- Collaborates with the College's recruitment team and supports new and returning student events.
- Collaborates with the various enrollment management areas to ensure seamless submission of paperwork/form processing for applied students.
- Collaborates with Enrollment Management to ensure that all new student communications and websites are accurate and up to date.
- Collaborates with campus teams to host applicant enrollment events, including but not limited to college-wide Enrollment Express events.
- Collaborates with college wide recruitment team to provide support during recruitment events such as campus visits/tours and open house events.
- Provides reports and data that give an accurate portrait of caseload progress for each term, part of the term, each semester and annually.
- Participates in college-wide committees related to the college's mission and its division.
- Makes recommendations to enrollment management regarding recruitment, admission information and other special situations to enhance the student admissions experience.
- Maintains current knowledge of college programs, college policy, financial planning, and transfer and career resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, higher education, or a related field
- Two years of college admissions and/or direct college recruitment experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a setting with individuals from various backgrounds.
- Knowledge of college admissions processes, including understanding application requirements, financial aid and scholarships, payment placement, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to guide and support students from varying backgrounds and with different academic goals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with college and career assessment tools and college databases and resources.
- Understanding of student development theories and admission strategies to support applicant conversion.
- Ethical and confidential handling of student information and records.
- Experience in direct college admission advising.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in higher education, or related field
Physical Demands/
Working Conditions:
- The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;
- The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated;
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;
- Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
This is a Full-time (1199/SEIU) Bargaining Unit Position, Grade 10. Full-time (1199/SEIU) bargaining unit employees at Cuyahoga Community College will be considered first for vacant positions. Target Hiring Rate:
Minimum salary $59,022/annually
