Reports to: Supervisor of Transportation

Salary: $15.21 starting hourly rate

Work Schedule: 4.5 hours per day, split shift

Position Type: Full-time

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have the temperament, personality and patience to deal with special needs students.
• Ability to cope with stressful situations as it relates to the special needs student.
• Ability to understand and/or give clear and concise instructions.
• Ability to respond to a variety of needs of the special needs students.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out precise but not complicated written or oral instructions.
• Ability to work in a friendly manner with other staff and students.
• Physical capabilities of appropriately lifting and managing special needs children when necessary.
• Possessing or upgrading skills through in-service training related to transportation of the special needs children.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a van endorsement.
• Knowledge of Basic First Aid.
