St. Thomas Aquinas School is accepting applications for a K-8 Religion teacher for the  school year. We are looking for educators who share an unwavering commitment to raising student achievement and an appreciation and respect for Catholic culture, identity, and values.

Partnership Schools teachers are eager for continuous feedback as they develop their instructional practice and grow professionally. At Partnership Schools, we support teachers through weekly school-based professional development, network-wide PD meetings, coaching and feedback sessions from school-site leadership, and nationally recognized partner organizations—Teach like a Champion (TLaC), Amplify, Core Knowledge, Eureka, etc.

• Developing a positive and structured classroom environment that engages students and motivates them to succeed
• Assuming responsibility for the academic progress of students with a high sense of urgency and ownership toward quantifiable results
• Developing weekly written lesson plans that correlate with Partnership network curriculum, goals, and objectives by grade level
• Fulfilling the school’s mission to educate the whole child: mind, body, and spirit
• Taking accountability for student learning and meeting classroom performance goals
• Using tests, assessments, classroom performance, and other designated evaluation and diagnostic tools to assess the progress of students, and drive instruction and intervention
• Creating and communicating with families of students in a positive and respectful manner
• Maintaining a working knowledge of and familiarity with the State of Ohio educational standards and requirements
• Participating in ongoing professional development sessions to grow as an educator

• A bachelor’s degree from a competitive university is required
• Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
• Must pass a background check

Teachers with 0-3 years of experience will be paid no less than $42,000. After three years, teachers have the opportunity to earn at least $50,000.

We have a pay scale that allows for maximum flexibility when a candidate transfers from another school or district (up to $73,140 for the  school year for teachers with 20+ years of experience). Salaries are determined based on years of teaching and school leadership experience, and evaluation of instructional mastery and mission alignment through an in-person demo lesson and interview. Opportunities for promotion occur every 3-5 years based on clear and published criteria, with the potential for up to 17% increases in those promotion years.
