Position ObjectiveCoordinate admissions directives and plans for the Masters of Science in Medical Physiology (MSMP). Support admissions recruitment and support faculty in their recruitment efforts.
Essential Functions- Create an annual admissions plan, mapping out initiatives within a recruitment cycle. Develop strategy and manage systems in service of enrollment goals for specific target populations, such as multicultural students. Develop, analyze and report year-end results (quantitative and qualitative data) and trends in applications, admissions and enrollment to inform development of that yearº's goals regarding the size and composition of the applicant pool.
Share frequent goal updates with the MSMP administration committee and Executive Director of Enrollment Management for the School of Medicine. Coordinate with leadership team on opportunities to plan and execute open house events, academic fairs, manage online information sessions and webinars, promote program/faculty events to prospective students, and follow‑up with leads personally generated and yielded from marketing. Coordinate recruitment efforts with the MSMP administration committee including those led by the admissions director and those faculty‑led initiatives (20%). - Participate actively in discussions of emergent strategic issues as well as longer‑term plans for medical physiologyº's ongoing growth and development. Engage in more tactical conversations involving informational updates, decisions related to execution of program‑related activities. Regularly provide data, insights and recommendations for approaches to increase conversion rates of prospective students from expressing interest in the program via inquiry, to applying to the program (current pool of ~500 applicants), and then, if admitted, enrolling in the program (~current cohort ~120).
Recruit participants, faculty, students, alums, to participate in recruitment activities and provide training for the activities. Attend faculty meetings as requested to provide data on current recruitment efforts and returns. (20%) - Collaborate with School of Medicine Enrollment Management Office and University Marketing and Communications to inform its efforts to develop multi‑channel campaigns that: (a) raise awareness of the Master of Science in medical physiology program among potential applicants, (b) highlight the programº's most appealing and distinctive qualities; and (c) ultimately inspire them to engage directly to seek more information. Maintain ongoing communication with University Marketing and Communications to enable timely adjustments to message content and audience targeting that enhance the effectiveness of marketing outreach.
Once prospective students contact the program, begin one‑on‑one engagement, including providing additional information, answering questions, connecting prospects with appropriate faculty and/or ambassadors, etc. For those students who apply, provide information and context gleaned from earlier interactions to admissions committee members. Advise and project manage CRM (Slate) communication campaigns, plans, workflows, and related CRM tasks to achieve enrollment goals for the program.
(15%) - With direction from the Program Director and Associate Director and in consultation with the Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Strategic Initiatives, identify and execute special projects that support program priorities.
