Position OverviewThis role provides library services, instruction, reference, and collection management to support the College's curriculum and mission, with a focus on information literacy instruction for a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver lectures on library-related topics
- Evaluate and grade student assignments, lab work, and exams
- Maintain and update course materials (syllabi, handouts, assignments)
- Advise students on academic, career, and vocational matters
- Facilitate classroom discussions
- Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula and instructional methods
- Participate in campus and community events
- Serve on academic or administrative committees
- Provide research assistance and instruction in person or online
- Master’s Degree in Library Science (ALA-accredited)
- Experience with automated library systems
- Strong commitment to information literacy instruction
- Teaching experience and database/search expertise
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in higher education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite or equivalent
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population
- Teaching experience in information literacy courses
- Experience in multi-campus or dynamic library environments
- Familiarity with Sierra, Blackboard, Banner, Lib Guides, or similar systems
- Community college teaching experience

- Office environment with computer-based work
- Some walking, standing, bending, and light lifting
- Travel may be required for meetings or conferences
- Must reside in Ohio and be within commuting distance
