Job Description SUMMARYServes as aTrio Summer Academy Foreign Language instructor for high school students (9thgrade-12th grade) in the Trio Summer Academy. This is a six-week instructional assignment (June – July) with planning meetings commencing inJune. The instructor will work approximately 12-15 hours per week, between 1:00 pm and3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Teachesa foreign language to high school students (9th grade-12th grade)
- Monitors and keeps daily log of student attendance, behavior, and academic development
- Assists in the development of daily lesson plans and formative & summative assessments
- Develops and maintains class syllabi and grade reports
- Provides a comprehensive written summary on each class taught
- Develops engaging and hands‑on lessons to facilitate teaching and learning
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in a Foreign Language
- Experience teaching Foreign Language to high school and/or college students
- Experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds

- Work is partially performed in an environment no conditions that affect the respiratory system, such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
- Work may also require some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;
- Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away fromthe worksite
This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position
, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $25.00/ hour.
If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
