Position: Fashion Instructor (ages 6-13)

Company Description

Future Fashion Stars is an enrichment education program, focused on guiding students through the process of creating a fashion line. The program emphasizes current and emerging trends, encouraging creativity through vision boards, trend spotting, illustration, color, silhouette and proportion, sustainability, styling, and design. Students learn thru hands‑on activities based on real world fashion industry process. All design and upcycling materials are provided, creating an accessible environment for aspiring fashion talents.

Role Description

The Instructor role is a part time, on‑site position located in various schools and community centers across greater Cleveland. The Instructor will guide students through Future Fashion Stars class lessons, teaching students how to develop fashion concepts, build vision boards, spot trends, and translate ideas into cohesive collections. The Instructor will mentor students throughout the creative process, provide feedback on designs, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications
  • Experience in fashion design, merchandising or art education, with the ability to teach core concepts. Training is provided.
  • Skill in hands‑on instruction, including sewing, garment construction or upcycling, and styling a plus.
  • Strong mentoring, classroom management, and communication skills, with a commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful learning space.
  • Reliable, Punctial & Organized
  • Passionate about sustainability in fashion and inspirong the next generation of fashionistas.
  • Prior experience working with youth or learners in group settings is preferred. No teaching license required
  • Relevant education in fashion, design, art, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
