Job Location:

Richmond Heights (710) – Cleveland, OH 44143.
Position Type:
Regular Part‑Time.
Salary Range: $19.00 hourly.

Shift: Monday‑Thursday 8:00AM‑2:00PM and some Fridays 9:00AM‑1:00PM.
Compensation starts at $19 per hour and includes a competitive benefits package funded through the EOEC NC Grant – Ohio.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and implement daily lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum and the teaching staff.
  • Conduct pre‑testing and post‑testing using standardized tests for each student.
  • As part of a team, implement goals as outlined in each student's IEP (as applicable).
  • Manage a student’s behavior and demonstrate competency in all subject areas.
  • Work with students on intervention programs such as MATH
    180.
  • Assist with STAR testing and interpret data results.
  • Participate in IMTSS and PBIS team support meetings.
  • Provide direct student instruction and academic assessments.
  • Attend IEP meetings as requested.
  • Meet timeline requirements as specified by the education code.
  • Provide direct services to students that support the teaching staff.
  • Consult and assist general education teachers with planning, adaptations, and accommodations for students.
  • Collaborate with Math Teachers/Specialists and school support staff to support student instruction.
  • Participate in authorized school district trainings, events, and meetings.
  • Maintain documentation of communications with students, families, and other service providers.
  • Document daily activities and complete required reports and forms.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Educational Aide Permit (Ohio DEW).
  • Knowledgeable in math and reading teaching techniques (preferred).
  • At least one of the following:
    • Associate degree or higher from an accredited state college.
    • Two years of college (48 credit hours).
    • Pass the Para Pro Assessment.
  • Eligibility for an ESEA Highly Qualified Endorsement.
  • Demonstrated interest in a teaching career (desired).
  • Proficiency in basic computer literacy and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel in performance of duties.
Physical Requirements
  • Vision sufficient for reading small print and using a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Normal hearing and speech for face‑to‑face and virtual communication.
  • Moderate‑to‑high mental demands: read, write, interpret, and apply information; high‑school math skills; quick learning; multitasking; stress management.
  • Upper‑body mobility to use hands for typing, picking up small objects, and extending arms.
  • Strength to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Environmental adaptability: work in moderate to high noise, frequent interruptions, and deadline pressures; work independently or with others indoors on a computer.

Applicants must meet or exceed all stated qualifications. The position is open for the Schools Calendar Term of 2024‑2025.
