Menlo Park Academy is seeking two licensed Intervention Specialists to join our growing team. All students at Menlo are academically gifted, and many are twice exceptional learners who benefit from specialized support alongside advanced academic opportunities.
These positions will be part of our newly established Social Emotional Learning Center of Excellence, bringing together intervention specialists, school counselors, and other student support professionals to provide coordinated, whole child support for every learner. We are excited to be expanding services and resources that ensure personalized learning, meaningful relationships, and individualized support for every gifted child.

Position Summary
The Intervention Specialist will provide specialized instruction and support for students with IEPs while collaborating closely with teachers, counselors, families, and related service providers. This role focuses on ensuring students receive individualized support that allows them to access rigorous gifted instruction while developing the skills necessary for long term success.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and specialized instructional plans aligned to student needs.
Deliver direct intervention services and specialized instruction in academic, behavioral, social emotional, and executive functioning areas.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support inclusion and differentiated instruction.
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data and student outcomes.
Partner with families to build strong home school relationships and support student success.
Work closely with counselors, related service providers, and support staff within the Social Emotional Learning Center of Excellence.
Conduct assessments and collect data to support IEP development and progress monitoring.
Maintain compliance with all special education documentation, reporting, and legal requirements.
Support students' social emotional development through proactive and evidence based practices.
Serve as an advocate for student growth, inclusion, and individualized success.
Qualifications
Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional or behavioral needs, or other exceptionalities.
Strong understanding of special education law, IEP development, and progress monitoring.
Knowledge of evidence based instructional and behavioral support practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to supporting the unique needs of gifted and twice exceptional learners.
