SummaryWorks directly with students, providing academic tutorial assistance in support of the material taught in mathematics or literacy classes.
Essential FunctionsSupports the department's goal of providing middle and secondary students with supplemental academic support by:
- Provides one-to-one and small-group tutoring
- Develop and implements non-credit workshops
- Conducts class visits and assists with publicizing services
- Assists with the maintenance of records
- Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and according to stated deadlines
- Assists with the development and maintenance of departmental instructional materials
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
- Education consistent with the department needs & minimum of Associate's degree in related field of study

- The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;
- The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated;

However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;
