Educational Support Personnel (ESP) Brookside Middle School 181 Days+ Contracted Holidays 7 Hours/Day Base Rate- $16.31 Must Have Current Ohio Department of Education Monitoring Permit w/ ESEA Endorsement and FBI/BCI Background Check

Organizational:

Reports to:

Building Principal, Director of Special Education, or designee.

Qualifications:

Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent. Possess a valid ESEA qualification certificate/license. Prior experience working with children preferred.

Job Goal:
Provide for the needs of special education students in the educational setting.

Specific Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teacher with all activities and assignments. Assist in the personal hygiene and cleanliness of students in need. Work directly with individual and/or small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher. Assist in performing clerical duties and preparing progress reports as needed. Attend staff meetings regarding special education needs of their students. Perform such other duties as assigned by Teacher, Principal, Director of Special Education, or designee.
