Job Title
Assist teachers, counselors and administrators in providing educational services to students with special needs.
Work will involve assisting students with remedial, enrichment and/or independent living activities as well as supporting instructional and educational goals. These positions are in an intensive behavior classroom.
Job Summary:
Minimum of 7.0 hours/day, 5 days/week, 195 days/year High School Parapro Day: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM; 7.0 hours/day
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of college coursework OR an Associate's Degree or higher OR high school diploma with the passage of the Para Pro Assessment prior to employment
- One year of related successful work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers
- Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
- Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.
- A valid Educational Aide Permit or license issued by the Ohio Department of Education
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with students with special needs
Salary:
- Step 1 - $17.47/hour (Non-degreed); $19.74/hour (2-year degree or above); $21.50 (Teaching Certificate)
