Public Pre-School Teacher
Plan, organize, and implement the educational activities of pre-school children.
Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Childhood Education.Passing of a background check BCI and FBIFamiliarity with Ohio's Step Up To Quality standards.Two years' experience in pre-school teachingAbility to meet all licensing and employment requirements established by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and the Ohio Department of Children and Youth.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and familiesPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education.Previous preschool teaching experience.Valid Kindergarten Primary Certificate.Job Description/Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned to Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards.Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes exploration, creativity, and student success.Foster the development of early literacy, mathematics, language, science, social-emotional learning, and motor skills.Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of all learners.Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student growth and guide instructional decisions.Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and required documentation.Communicate regularly with parents and families regarding student progress and classroom activities.Collaborate with intervention specialists, therapists, support staff, and administrators to support student achievement.Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs), and intervention planning as appropriate.Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies that promote student engagement.Supervise students during classroom activities, meals, recess, transitions, and field trips.Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and district initiatives.Maintain compliance with all requirements of the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW), the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY), and the district.Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent.Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Warm and approachable in dealing with children.Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education.Excellent classroom management and instructional skills.Ability to establish positive relationships with young children and their families.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning.Proficiency in educational technology and data-driven instruction.Working Conditions
