We are seeking professionals with experience in systems engineering, projectmanagementand full life-cycle engineering, from early formulation, to design, development, test/V&V, and hand-off to operations.
Knowledge of satellitecommunications systemsdevelopment for both ground-based and space-based networks, and familiarity in both government and commercial development environments specific to space/ space communications are strongly preferred. The successful candidate will join the Systems Engineering team, withresponsibilitiesincluding, butnot limited to:
- Supporting clients in providing technical oversight, guidance, and technical program coordination for space communications projects and technology development efforts
- Providing technical leadership through systems engineering analyses, risk assessment, and schedule management
- Ensuring successful navigation of NASA lifecycle milestone reviews across multiple programs, including technical readiness assessments, risk evaluation, stakeholder coordination, documentation preparation, and presentation of recommendations to NASA review boards for approval and program continuation
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or similar fields.
Years of experience: 15+ years of experience. Graduate work can contribute to years of experience.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
Work Authorization: Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.
Role/Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, on-site position in Cleveland, OH.
Preferred Skills- Proven track recordof managing multi-phase spacecommunicationsprograms.
- Expert-level knowledge of NASA project lifecycle process, milestone reviews, and gate success criteria.
- Risk management and mitigation planning experience for mission systems.
- Experience with integrated master schedules and critical path management for space programs.
- Extensive satellite communication knowledge including familiarity with RF (L, S, Ka bands) and emerging optical communication technologies.
- Experience interfacing with government program offices, contractors, and commercial partners.
