Job Location s US-OH-Cleveland Overview The primary function of the Mechanical Engineer (2nd Shift) is to safely perform tests and report testing evaluations and assist
with projects including quality, investigations, and process improvement. Work is to be performed in accordance
with established QA procedures.

Salary: $65K-$75K DOE
Responsibilities- Prepare and operate all equipment necessary to perform testing in the Mechanical Lab
- Performs daily verifications and adjusts equipment baselines accordingly
- Performs RTT/ETT tests, Charpy impacts, Fracture Toughness, Hardness, Stress/Creep Rupture, Full size Fastener testing, Pressure testing
- Maintains mechanical testing equipment for operation and performs routine housekeeping tasks associated with the area(s) trouble shooting as necessary.
- Insures that ample supplies are available for operation of mechanical testing area
- Interface with clients on matters of concern/interest
- Other duties as required

Education and/or Experience
- Engineering degree
- Laboratory experience, preferred
Good interpretive/ investigation skills; ability to problem solve
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, customer testing specifications, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, data and details furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
