R&D Associate Engineer

, we help industries run leaner and cleaner. This position reports to Manager R&D Engineering 2 and focuses on developing and supporting automated solutions for process industries.

• Contributing as a reliable member on R&D projects.
• Applying technical expertise in your area to solve engineering problems.
• Meeting assigned targets for quality, time, scope, and cost, and identifying and resolving risks.
• Aligning activities with ABB’s strategic objectives in your technical domain.

• BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, or Java, and experience with Visual Studio, source control (Azure Dev Ops or Git).
• Familiarity with DCOM, OPC, Win Dbg, and Install Shield is preferred.
• Strong collaboration, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of process control systems and real‑time programming is a plus.
• Position based in Cleveland, OH, initially in‑office with potential hybrid work after training.

• Annual salary range: $58,500 – $93,600.
