Senior CAD Designer

Aero Controlex is seeking an experienced Senior CAD Designer to join our team. This position supports the development of complex aerospace design projects. If you enjoy solving design challenges, working with engineering teams, and creating detailed, high-quality CAD models, we'd like to hear from you.

Schedule/Position Type:
Full-Time, Contract Assignment (Minimum 6 Months) with potential opportunity for permanent placement. In office, day shift.

What You'll Do

* Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, layouts, and design documentation based on engineering requirements

* Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar programs to develop accurate and production-ready designs

* Interpret technical requirements and translate concepts into manufacturable designs and documentation

* Apply design principles, mathematical calculations, scaling, tolerances, and GD&T standards to ensure design accuracy and functionality

* Maintain CAD files, revisions, and documentation in accordance with company standards and document control procedures

* Collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional teams throughout the design process

* Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, specifications, and company requirements

* Perform complex design assignments requiring independent judgment, problem-solving, and attention to detail

* Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

* Minimum of 8 years of CAD design experience

* Training in CAD operation, drafting, engineering technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered

* Advanced proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar platforms

* Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, design techniques, manufacturing processes, and GD&T principles

* Experience managing CAD files, revision control, and technical documentation

* Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work

* Effective communication and collaboration skills
